PENNSYLVANIA RAILROADERS MEMORIAL MUSEUM

At Muni-Link, we don’t expect you to work “all the livelong day” as the railroaders did. Appreciate just how easy you have it compared to the old timers with a history lesson at the PA Railroaders Memorial Museum.

Experience the engineering marvel of Horseshoe Curve… and appreciate the work of Altoona Water Authority in their efforts to rehabilitate the Kittaning Mine runoff water.

SUMMER MUSIC AND FOOD FESTIVALS

Multiple small music venues offer a personal music experience while the area is also home to large-scale music events.

Wing-Offs, heritage food festivals and county fairs, the area offers a wide variety of events that cater to food-lovers of all types.

Muni-Link has a few food events of its own that include our annual Crocktoberfest and Chili Cook-off. We’ve been known to have a food truck or two parked out by the helipad (yes, we have a helipad).

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Enjoy local history and the serene waters of our local lakes. Home to one of the nation’s top-rated mountain bike trail systems, Muni-Link is just a short drive to the Allegrippis Trails at Raystown.

Visit the abandoned lime kilns at Canoe Creek State Park and learn about the once thriving limestone-processing facility that once operated in Blair County. Take a hike on one of the many walking trails at Canoe Creek, or rent a canoe to paddle around on the calm waters of Canoe Lake.

Muni-Link is less than a mile from the newly-opened Logan Valley Streetcar Trail and approximately 4 miles from Bells’ Gap Trail. The area has many rails to trails including the 6 to 10 Trail, Lower Trail, and Ghost Town Trail.

CURVE BASEBALL

Muni-Link regularly makes its season tickets available to employees to enjoy a night at the ballpark with our very own Double-A Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate. Family-oriented, baseball-themed activities between innings, of course everyone loves Curve Baseball. Watch your hometown team compete against the talents of other Eastern League Double-A affiliates of the Orioles, Tigers, Nationals and Giants.
